If you are a fan of Minecraft, you’ll be excited to know that the game is becoming an animated series in collaboration with Netflix to celebrate its 15th anniversary. Mojang and Netflix have teamed up to release a full animated series set entirely in the Minecraft world, capturing its unique feel.
The cherry on top is that WildBrain is bringing this beautiful animation to life. If you’re not familiar with WildBrain, they are the creators behind other Netflix shows like Sonic Prime, Ninjago: Dragons Rising, and Carmen Sandiego.
The teaser above offers a sneak peek of the legendary Creeper, which has killed me more than a thousand times, and the real hell of the game, the Nether . I am extremely excited to see the first trailer and how WildBrain, Netflix, and Mojang bring all the classic elements of Minecraft together to create a masterpiece.
The project is planned as an original story with new characters, so don’t expect to see familiar faces like Minecraft’s mascot Steve making an appearance anytime soon.
In short, there is no confirmed release date for the animated series yet, but I am eagerly awaiting this epic series. What about you?
